Committee (2025-2026)

Abi Kelly (she/her) — President
(president@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Abi is entering her fourth and final year of her music and theatre studies degree!! Having been last year’s social convenor and always being the last to leave a social😝Abi is entering her President era and cannot wait to show everyone she can be serious and fun (mostly fun though). Loving all things Cecilians, Abi attributes so many of her amazing memories throughout uni to her time in Cecilians. From multiple opening nights, to Brampton Island at Weekend Away (if ykyk). There is nothing she’d rather do in her final year, than sing and boogie with all her favourite people. Aside from overseeing committee, you will find Abi on a cutesy little run, mooching in Morrisons or at the pub. She is very excited for the upcoming year, and is so grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our fabulous committee. Here’s to another year of One Day More singsongs💕🫶🏻⭐️

Joe Liddall (he/him) — Vice President
(vicepresident@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Joe is going into his third year of Cecilians and his Philosophy degree. Having been on committee last year, Joe is beyond excited to do it all over again as vice-president. As vice-president, Joe cannot wait to support and work alongside the rest of committee. Joe is also buzzing to welcome any returning or new faces to the society. Aside from doing all things Cecilians related, Joe can probably still be found singing show tunes (with or without others), browsing byres road charity shops, or watching hilariously woeful movies or tv shows with friends #highschoolmusicalthemusicaltheseries. But for now, Joe is just eagerly waiting for the year to start…!

Jenna Lees (she/her) — Secretary
(secretary@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Jenna is in her 4th (and final 😔) year of her Economic and Social History & History degree the Cecilian Society and what other way could she round off her Cecilian journey than as Secretary this year! After a brief hiatus from committee this last year, she is BACK and more ready than ever to subject the rest of the society to as many Camp Rock and Carrie related puns she can think of in her weekly emails. When she’s not typing away, she’s either using her lovely free cinema tickets (did she mention she works in a cinema? Btw she works in a cinema), reading ridiculously cheesy romance novels or in a beer garden somewhere with a Hugo Spritz. The Cecilian Society has made Jenna’s UofG experience so fulfilling, and so she can’t wait for September for one last year singing and dancing with her favourite people 💕

Evie MacGillivray (she/her) — Treasurer
(treasurer@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Evie is going into her 3rd year of her Physiology, sport science and nutrition degree and also her 3rd year of Cecilians!! After surviving 4 shows, 1 year on committee and many gnarly Cecilian induced hangovers, she is so ready to jump straight back in. Having been the societies fundraising manager last year Evie is very used to having to chase people down for money, so trust that no one will be safe this year from debt messages. Whilst Cecilians has become a pretty large part of her life, Evie still can usually be found reading, yapping or binging yet another reality tv show (which often comes in handy at weekend away 😉). All in all Evie is super duper excited and so grateful for another year in cecilians!!!

Tilly Bird (she/her) — Past President
(pastpresident@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Back for her fourth (and final!!!) year on committee, Tilly has finally graduated from her Maths/Classics degree 🎓 So instead of spending her year singing and dancing with cecilians, she will be trying to figure out if there is a single job that her degree relates to 🙃 But she of course couldn’t miss out on the chance to do yet another committee year (god bless the constitutionally bound past president role 💖). She is super BUZZING to be part of the team, weigh in on all the important choices (committee t-shirt colour being the number one priority of course) and get to see all the amazing work Abi and the committee are going to do xoxox

Angelina Cochrane-Browne (she/her) — Media Manager
(media@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Angelina is entering her fourth year of her History/Politics degree, fourth year of Cecilians and third year on the committee. Having tried her hand at more organisational roles, Angelina is having so much fun being creative as media manager!! After spending the summer working in the Hamptons, Angelina is so excited to get back to her usual routine in Glasgow, which usually consists of walks in Kelvingrove, charity shopping and going to the pub after rehearsals !! Roll on September!! 🤘🏼😍

Isla Johnston (she/her) — University Affairs
(universityaffairs@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Heading into her second year at Glasgow as a History/Politics student, Isla can’t wait to get started on another year in Cecilians! A lover of all things historical, do NOT get her started, because she won’t stop telling you about Rasputin, the Berlin Wall, or Mary Queen of Scots if she’s feeling patriotic 😎 If you’re ever looking for her, a good place to start would be Level 8 in the library, but if that doesn’t work, you can always try the beloved Polo Lounge, or just any space she can feasibly make a dancefloor 🤷‍♀️ She can’t wait to get started on all things admin in the society, while balancing it out with some gorgeous pub trips with both new and returning Cecilians 💗 After a fabulous first year in the society, she’s loving it, and is so incredibly excited to take on another year 🥳🥳

Jonas Leipner (he/him) — Welfare and Membership Liaison
(membership@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Jonas is going into his third year as a Computing/Management student, and he is also super excited to be part of the Cecilian committee for the first time! Jonas is an international student from Switzerland who quickly got bored of uni because he wasn’t in Cecilians…so he joined. That was a great decision because he loves everything that revolves around music, and he also likes theater. When he is not in rehearsals, Jonas stays close to his guitar or goes to Muay Thai. He is so ready for this coming year and can’t wait to get to know new faces!

Macy Krohner (she/her) — Social Convenor
(social@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Hey!! I’m Macy and I’m going into 3rd year as a Classics/ Film & Television student and I’m a second year Cecilian. I had no idea I was getting into a year of iconic parties, pub nights, and dinner dances when I joined our society, but this year I have the privilege of planning them!! When I’m not talking about Cecilians, you can find me sitting in Smug cafe for hours or at a club after I swore I “wasn’t gonna drink tonight”. I’m so excited to be this year’s social convener 🩷🩷

Rachel Morrison (she/her) — Company Manager
(companymanager@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

After having such a great time on committee last year as Stech (shoutout techies 🥳) Rachel is super happy to be this year’s Company Manager! She is a 4th year Anatomy student and feeling old! Since joining Cecilians in 1st year, she has had so many unforgettable experiences, from dancing through East High and Sunny Leith, to reminding us all through song that We Are The World! She has had so much fun on and off stage for the past 3 years, and cannot wait to see what comes next!

Jagoda Szubert (she/her) — Publicity Manager
(publicity@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Jagoda is going into the 2nd year of her degree in English Language, Linguistics & Psychology. She’s Polish through and through, born and raised in the incredible city of Kraków. Despite this, she’s unhealthily attached to her Young Scot Card and is quickly embracing the wonders of Scottish culture. Having just concluded her first year in Cecilians she decided that instead of being chill about any of her hobbies, she might as well rearrange her whole life around them – which is why she’s thrilled to be this year’s publicity officer and give back to the community that welcomed her with such open arms when she moved countries last September. By now, it is her point of honour to miss a record low amount of rehearsals so if she’s not marinating in hive, she’s out in the highlands engaging in type 2 fun and, rather than focusing on her degree, trying to bag all 282 munros. If anyone from the membership resolves to work on their fitness in time for show week or realises they’ve lived in Scotland long enough without exploring much, she’ll have a trail ready and will gladly meet them at Buchanan for a 6:40 bus to Fort William with a smile on her face (and you’re welcome to hold her to that). As this year’s publicity officer she intends to make Cecilians the next big thing in the Glasgow theatre district.

Isa Marenah (she/her) — Stores Manager/Tech Liaison
(techliaison@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Isa is going into her third year of studying Scots Law and more importantly her third year of Cecilians! After dancing through Sunshine of Leith, Back to the 80s and Grease, she is so excited to join committee as stexiest role of them all, Tech Liaison! When she’s not in rehearsals, you may find her pretending to do her uni work in the library or going on a quest for a sweet treat. Isa cannot wait to get even more involved with Cecilians and is so excited to see what this year will bring!! ☀️

Tabitha Baxter-Seabrook (she/her) — Fundraising Manager
(fundraising@ceciliansociety.co.uk)

Tabitha is going into her third year of her Psychology and Linguistics degree 🧠 but more importantly, her third year of Cecilians!! And what a better way to spend it than being part of the wonderful committee? As Fundraising Manager, she is looking forward to hounding everyone for baked goods at the many bake sales across the year (and scoffing them in her gob…) and raising loads of money for our fab society 🍪. When she is not agonising over R-studio code or mid-sagittal diagrams she loves a good book and a good boogie to some classic disco tunes!! 🕺
