About Us

The Cecilian Society is the University of Glasgow’s foremost musical theatre society. We perform two shows in one academic year, the weekend show and the main show. Both of our shows have an open chorus, but there are auditions for principal roles. We encourage everyone to audition, but you don’t need to audition to be in the chorus.

The weekend show is produced in 24 hours! This year’s show is Back to the 80s! and is taking place on Sunday 26th September 2010 at 7.30pm. To take part in the show sign up at the Freshers Fair, or just come along to Committee Room One in the QM Union on Thursday 23rd September 2010 at 7pm.

The main show this year will be Our House and will be performed from Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th February 2011 at the Mitchell Theatre. To take part in the show, get in touch or come along to the Weekend Show.
