Hi Society!

I know, lots of emails. But there's lots going on! I have several
things that people would like me to tell you about, including a few
words from our wonderful Ticket Manager Sarah Daly who has some
fabulous ideas for selling tickets. Enjoy!

1. TONIGHT
2. SATURDAY NIGHT (IN GLASGOW CITY)
3. APPEALS FOR PEOPLE!
4. TICKETS
5. CAKE STALL

1. TONIGHT
A quick reminder that tonight we will be having an EGM starting at
6.45pm in Committee Room 1 of the QMU. Please make an effort to be at
rehearsals early so we can start and end the EGM before rehearsals
begin, and so you can have your say on this show.

Secondly, Lorna has asked me to inform you that auditions for female
celebrity impersonators will be held TONIGHT! You don't have to
prepare anything, but hopefully you might get this email beforehand
and be informed so you can think about whether you'd like to go for
one. How exciting!

2. SATURDAY NIGHT (IN GLASGOW CITY)
Apologies for the terrible pun, but Saturday will be a very exciting
day! First off, we have (yes, I know, actually this time) the annual
Cecilian Poster Day! In your ticket teams, you will trawl the fair
city of Glasgow finding excellent places to put up posters for the
show (mainly shops, I won't lie to you) and hence enabling us to sell
more tickets! For the full details, including of campus postering on
Friday if you can make it, see:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=434

On Saturday night (i-in PJ's) the fantastic Blue Delta
(http://www.blue-delta.com) will be playing for us in PJ Champs - see the
Facebook event at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=269132781374 .
It'll be awesome and we can 80s up and flyer the general pub punters
if we so wish! Woot!

Thirdly, something that isn't happening on Saturday but that Yasmin
would like you to keep your diaries free for, is on Wednesday 10th
February, when we will all be able to get together in PJ Champs and
watch the DVD of the original Wedding Singer film, starring Adam
Sandler and Drew Barrymore as Alex/Colin and Kirsty/Ami respectively!
Shockingly, some people haven't seen this, so keep it free for some
further 80s joy!

3. PEOPLE WANTED!
We are currently on a hunt for two types of people:

One: Techies. If you, or anyone at all that you know, is interested in
helping the Tech Directors build set, find props, paint stuff and
generally lug things about backstage, please let them know and have
them reply to this email! The first tech meeting will be THIS Saturday
30th January at 1pm, downstairs at 62 Oakfield Avenue (across from the Uni
gym), so feel free to go along/send people along if you can!

Two: Front of House Assistants. During show week, as many people will
of course be in the show, getting ready with costumes, makeup etc, we
need people to do all the other important things that go on, like
selling extra tickets, letting people collect their tickets, selling
programmes, raffle tickets, and just generally being helpful. If you
think you or anyone you know could help out *on any night* then,
again, please reply to this email ASAP!

Thankyou!

4. TICKETS
I assume by now we have all seen Sarah's beautiful note entitled 'How
To Sell Tickets For The Wedding Singer', but if not, I highly
recommend you view it at one of the following links:

http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=265796713210
or viewtopic.php?f=5&t=431

If everyone did everything Sarah suggests in here, we would be
laughing our way to full houses every night - hopefully, so will the
audiences during the show! Go on, you know you want to.

5. CAKE STALL
We are having another cake stall! Woo! This time it will be
specifically to fundraise for, and publicise, the show, and will be on
Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th February from 10am to 5pm. If you would
like to help out then reply to this email, and remember to send all
your friends along!

So, a very quick recap, as the committee meeting is about to start!
Lots of things are happening tonight, and on Saturday we are having
Poster Day and Band Night! If you know anyone who could help with
either tech or Front of House, please get in touch ASAP, and use the
tips to sell tickets! See you all in about 30 minutes!
