Hello guys, I'm sorry to email you out of the blue, but I just thought I'd let you know of a super event that is happening at the QM Union this coming Wednesday!

"This House Believes that Religion and Homosexuality are Incompatible."

Glasgow University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Students' Association (GULGBT) are pleased to welcome six speakers to Committee Room One of the Queen Margaret Union at 730pm on Wednesday the 4th of November 2009 to debate on the above proposition.

Supporting the House, we are pleased to welcome the Vice Convenor of The Humanist Society of Scotland, Leslie Mitchell, Affirmation Scotland's Lindsay Biddle, and Dr Tobias Joss, alumnus from St Andrews Union Debating Society. Speaking against the House, we are honoured to have Blair Robertson, Convener of Affirmation Scotland, a speaker from the Glasgow University branch of the Student Christian Movement, George Walsh, and the Chaplain of Interfaith Chaplaincy of Glasgow University, Stuart McQuarrie. As President of the GULGBT, I, Dij Bentley, will be in the chair.

It is sure to be a really interesting debate, but seats are limited, so please arrive early to avoid dissappointment. If you would like to ensure a seat, please email me (president@gulgbt.co.uk) by MONDAY 2nd NOVEMBER at the latest, and I will reserve a place for you.
